Rabbinic Voice for Human Rights is an organization that brings together rabbis and rabbinical students from diverse Jewish denominations and works to advance human rights in Israel and the Palestinian territories.<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/section>\n\t\n\n\r\n\t

A Rabbinical Voice for Human Rights is the voice of the Jewish tradition in the field of human rights. The organization was founded in 1988 and currently has over one hundred and seventy members \u2013 qualified rabbis and rabbis and rabbinical students.<\/p>\n

The organization is non-partisan and is a unique activist rabbinical organization in which rabbis and rabbis from all streams and rabbinical schools in Israel work together. Among its members are rabbis who hold public positions, educators and community rabbis, who can bring about both change on the ground and a change in consciousness.<\/p>\n

The organization serves as a mouthpiece for disseminating information about human rights in Israel and the occupied territories, and works in cooperation with human rights organizations in Israel and around the world. Since its establishment, it has worked to promote the rights of the weaker sections of society, to protect the rights of minorities in Israel and of Palestinians in the territories, and to prevent blatant violations of basic human rights of migrant workers. The organization exerts pressure on policymakers in Israel to ensure the protection of the human rights of vulnerable groups, including the right to medical care, shelter, Education and a minimum standard of living.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\r\n\t\t\t\t\t\t

Born in Jerusalem and raised and educated in the Reform movement. Has a bachelor’s and master’s degree in the history of the Jewish people. Worked as a teacher, volunteer coordinator and head of the Telem pre-military preparatory school in Jaffa and managed Telem youth. In 2017, she was ordained as a rabbi at Hebrew Union College in Jerusalem and has since served as a rabbi and spiritual leader in the “Nigun Halev” community in the Jezreel Valley. Social activist, woman of music and culture and active in the field of interfaith dialogue and shared life.
