Our network of Rabbis and Cantors is the organizational backbone that makes us unique — the only rabbinic organization in Israel that speaks about human rights in a distinctly Jewish language. We need you with us so we can walk this path together.

About the Association:
Rabbis for Human Rights is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising a Jewish moral voice on human rights. Founded in 1988, membership is open to rabbis, cantors, and rabbinical/cantorial students across the Jewish spectrum.

Our members identify across the Jewish streams, Orthodox, Conservative, Reform, Humanist and Independent. Membership is also offered to rabbinical and cantorial candidates, and to those serving as spiritual leaders in their communities.

The organization promotes awareness of human rights issues in Israel and the occupied territories, and works in cooperation with human rights groups in Israel and worldwide. Since its founding, RHR is an activist organization, deeply rooted in Jewish thinking and theology. With a focus on defending at-risk populations; protecting minority rights in Israel, advocating for Palestinian rights in the territories, and against the abuse of migrant workers. We also engage directly with policymakers in Israel to secure rights such as food security, housing, education, and basic dignity.

Help us raise a strong and uncompromising Jewish voice for human rights, justice, and an end to the occupation. Strengthen our impact with your membership and support. Renew or join today.
